On April 10 PJM filed its response to questions from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission regarding the Capacity Performance proposal.
In December 2014, PJM filed its Capacity Performance proposal with the FERC, requesting an effective date of April 1, 2015.
On March 31, 2015, the FERC issued a notice seeking more information about PJM’s Capacity Performance proposal. The notice included a series of questions on proposed offer cap mechanisms and non-performance charges.
PJM filed a request with the FERC on April 7, 2015, for a one-time waiver of its tariff to allow a short delay in the annual Reliability Pricing Model capacity auction for the 2018/2019 delivery year.
The delay would allow the FERC time to rule on PJM’s Capacity Performance filing so that, if the filing were approved, the Capacity Performance product would be part of the auction.
