PJM filed answers to comments sent to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on the Capacity Performance proposal. Filed with the FERC Dec. 12, 2014, the proposal creates a new means to incent and penalize power supply resources for their performance at critical times.
In the Feb. 12 answer, PJM asked the FERC to allow further stakeholder discussion on how load-serving entities’ obligations are determined. The issue would be deliberated with stakeholders, and result are to be submitted to the FERC next year.
More information on the stakeholder process that led to the proposal is available in the Issue Tracking section of pjm.com.
