On July 20, PJM filed its answer to the Joint Consumer Representatives’ complaint on applying the proposed new load forecast to the upcoming capacity auction. PJM’s Tariff requires that the preliminary PJM Region Peak Load Forecast is submitted by February 1 each year along with other planning parameters for the next annual capacity auction. The PLF was submitted at that time for this year’s auction. The new enhancements to the load forecast continue to be vetted through the stakeholder process and are planned to be used for the January 2016 forecast.
More details on PJM’s arguments for FERC to deny the complaint are in the filing.
