St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, Mich.

St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, the two principal cities in the Niles-Benton Harbor Metropolitan Statistical Area in Michigan, are connected to the high-voltage grid through Indiana Michigan Power, a unit of American Electric Power. The company was  integrated into PJM’s operations in 2004.

Benton Harbor and the City of St. Joseph are twin cities separated by the St. Joseph River and located along the shore of Lake Michigan.
