New Planning page enhancements

PJM has introduced several enhancements to its Planning page on, including four new interactive graphs.

The Planning page was refreshed earlier this year. The changes, as well as these recent enhancements, result from member feedback.

The new features include:

  • Approved Regional Transmission Expansion Plan Projects: A summary of the cost (in millions of dollars) and status of projects. Baseline, network and supplemental projects are broken down by status (under construction, in service and active).
  • Queued Generation Fuel Mix: A graph of the number of megawatts of generation in the interconnection queue broken down by fuel type. In the bottom right corner is the total number of megawatts in the generation interconnection queue.
  • Generation Interconnection Requests by Fuel Type: A chart of the number of megawatts for generation interconnection projects in each queue, further broken down by fuel type.
  • Active Studies: A summary of the number of projects and the MW capacity requested for projects with active studies. It is further broken down by the type of study and whether an agreement is signed or a study is underway.
  • Queue Timeline: An image of the current queue window and study timeline for 2017 through 2019.

PJM encourages feedback, and stakeholders can learn more about future updates through the Tech Change Forum.
