PJM has launched a completely redesigned Open Access Same-Time Information System that modernizes the tool to streamline information and provide an improved user experience.
The Open Access Same-Time Information System, or OASIS, lets transmission customers reserve capacity on transmission lines in order for them to move power through the PJM footprint.
The previous OASIS tool had been in place for nearly 20 years without any major changes to the user interface. Although the tool was being maintained, the user experience and underlying technology no longer aligned with PJM’s standards.
The new OASIS has been designed to be more efficient and easy to use, and includes a more robust API for developers. The new tool is compliant with federal standards, as well as PJM’s Open Access Transmission Tariff and regional transmission and energy scheduling business practices.
