In a Nov. 19 letter to members, PJM provided an update on its return-to-campus plans and the return of in-person stakeholder meetings and operator training.
With the return-to-campus update, PJM also announced that beginning Jan. 4, it is requiring the COVID-19 vaccine for employees, contractors, vendors, members and other stakeholders who come to the PJM campus or attend PJM events on or off its campus.
PJM said that it expects to begin holding in-person stakeholder meetings at PJM’s Valley Forge campus during the first quarter of 2022, starting with the Members Committee and Markets & Reliability Committee. PJM also plans to extend an in-person option for its standing committees – the Planning Committee, Market Implementation Committee, Operating Committee and Risk Management Committee – as well as Senior Task Forces during the second quarter of 2022.
A virtual attendance option will remain available for all stakeholder meetings, including those for which there will be an in-person option. All in-person attendees will be subject to PJM’s vaccine requirement.
Annual Meeting of Members
The PJM Annual Meeting of Members will be broken into two events in the spring and fall of 2022.
The first meeting, scheduled for May 17–18, 2022, will take place at the PJM Conference and Training Center. It will include a Members Committee meeting, General Session, Board election and other business meetings.
The fall meeting will take place at a to-be-determined location and will include a Members Committee meeting, General Session and networking activities.
Business Travel for PJM Employees
PJM employee business travel, which has been restricted since January 2020, will resume in the first quarter of 2022. Any PJM employees traveling for business will be subject to PJM’s vaccine requirement.
PJM’s in-person operator training will resume with the Spring PJM Operator Seminar, which runs from March 7, 2022, to May 13, 2022. There will be a vaccination requirement to attend in person.
